GORILLA GRIP Landscape Fabric Weed Barrier 4x50 ft — Heavy-Duty, UV-Resistant Permeable

GORILLA GRIP 4x50FT Heavy Duty Weed Barrier Landscape Fabric is a durable, tear-resistant woven polypropylene mat engineered to block sunlight, prevent weed growth, and let water and air pass to keep soil healthy.

This landscape fabric is built for long-lasting outdoor use around gardens, walkways, patios and under mulch or gravel. At 4 feet by 50 feet and weighing 3.2 oz per square yard, the material combines high tensile strength with permeability and UV resistance so it stands up to foot traffic, equipment, and seasonal exposure. The result is reliable weed suppression without sealing the soil off from water and oxygen—helping planted areas stay easier to maintain while supporting healthy drainage.

How does this fabric stop weeds but still let water through?

The woven polypropylene construction physically blocks light that weeds need to sprout while its tightly engineered weave still permits water and air to pass. Third-party testing confirms permeability, so rainfall or irrigation soaks into the soil rather than pooling on top.

• Heavy-duty 3.2 oz woven polypropylene resists tearing and degradation
• Permeable weave lets water and oxygen reach roots
• Blocks sunlight to suppress surface weed germination

Is this fabric strong enough for high-traffic or heavy projects?

Yes—GORILLA GRIP landscape fabric is designed for demanding landscaping tasks. With up to 80 lbs tensile strength, it withstands stress from foot traffic, wheelbarrows, and patio or walkway installation without ripping easily.

• Up to 80 lbs tensile strength for tear resistance
• Durable under pavers, gravel, and heavy mulch layers
• Holds up to seasonal wear and light equipment use

Will the fabric break down in sunlight or heavy weather?

The fabric includes UV-resistant treatment to slow degradation when exposed to sunlight. While long-term exposure to extreme conditions will eventually wear any material, this product is formulated to remain effective season after season in typical landscaping conditions.

• UV-resistant materials reduce breakdown from sun exposure
• Designed for outdoor environments and regular weather cycles
• Recommended installation under mulch or rock for extended life

Where can I use this weed barrier around my property?

GORILLA GRIP fabric is versatile for multiple landscape applications, from planted beds to structural uses like underwalkways and retaining walls. It arrives folded in a roll that you cut to fit and secure with stakes or pins based on the installation.

• Garden beds and flower borders to reduce maintenance
• Under mulch, landscape rock, and gravel to limit weed intrusion
• Soil stabilization beneath walkways, patios, and retaining walls

It's well suited for people who want to reduce weeding time without compromising soil drainage—whether installing decorative rock, building a paver walkway, or protecting garden beds.
