GasStop RV propane pigtail hose — 18in stainless-steel braided, 90° elbow, 1/4" male inverted flare

The GasGear RV propane pigtail is a 18-inch, stainless-steel braided, 90-degree hose extension that connects a 1/4" inverted flare regulator to 20–40 lb LP tanks for safe, compact RV and trailer installations.

When space is tight behind an RV regulator or near the tank valve, the right hose can prevent kinks, reduce stress on fittings and make hookups faster. GasStop’s GasGear 18" pigtail features a unique 90-degree brass elbow, braided stainless-steel cover and UL-listed safety features, combining convenience and durability for camping, mobile kitchens or backup tank setups.

How does the 90-degree elbow improve my RV hookup?

The integrated 90-degree brass elbow reorients the hose outlet so connections sit closer to the regulator body or tank face. That reduces bending stress at the fitting and keeps the hose routing low-profile in cramped compartments. The angle also helps prevent accidental snags when moving slide-outs or loading gear.

• Minimizes hose bending and stress on fittings
• Creates a neater, lower-profile routing behind regulators
• Reduces risk of accidental tugs or kinks during use

Will this hose fit my regulator and propane tanks?

Yes — the GasGear pigtail uses a 1/4" male inverted flare that matches common RV regulator outlets, and it connects to standard 20 lb, 30 lb or 40 lb LP tank valves. Its universal fittings make it suitable for most RVs, trailers and portable appliances requiring an inverted flare connection.

• 1/4" male inverted flare for regulator outlets
• Compatible with 20/30/40 lb LP tanks
• Works with common RV regulators and shut-off gauges

How tough is the construction and what safety features are included?

The hose pairs a corrosion-resistant braided stainless-steel exterior with a robust internal liner rated for high BTU flow and pressure. GasGear hoses are UL listed and engineered with thermal protection and excess-flow safety to help reduce risk if a fire or leak occurs near the line.

• Braided stainless-steel jacket resists weather, rodents and abrasion
• Rated at 200,000 BTU/hr and 250 PSIG max pressure
• UL listing plus thermal and excess-flow protective features

How easy is installation and maintenance?

Installation is straightforward: tighten the 1/4" male inverted flare to your regulator outlet and the opposite end to the tank valve; no special tools beyond appropriate wrenches are required. Periodic visual inspections for wear or damage and a routine leak check with soapy water keep the hose performing reliably.

• Quick, tool-based hookup to regulator and tank
• Simple leak checks with soap-and-water solution recommended
• Low-maintenance: visual inspections and replace if damaged

Who is this for? The GasGear 18" 90-degree propane pigtail is aimed at RV owners, trailer and camper installers, mobile food operators and outdoor enthusiasts who need a compact, reliable connection between a regulator and portable LP tanks. Choose this hose if you want a corrosion-resistant braided sleeve, a right-angle outlet to conserve space and UL-listed safety features for worry-free propane use.
