GARDENWISE Carnivorous Plant Kelp Foliar Spray 16 Oz — 100% Organic, Gentle Food for Venus Flytraps & Sundews

GARDENWISE Organic Marina Mist is a 100% organic kelp foliar spray formulated to gently nourish Venus flytraps, pitcher plants, sundews and other carnivorous species without overloading their roots.

Many carnivorous plants grow in nutrient-poor soils and require a different feeding approach than typical houseplants. Marina Mist uses Ascophyllum nodosum extract to supply trace minerals, amino acids, vitamins and natural growth factors through foliar application, supporting trap development, color and vigor while preserving the delicate balance these plants need.

How does this kelp spray help carnivorous plants grow?

The foliar-applied kelp delivers micronutrients and phytohormones that plants can absorb through leaves and traps, supporting overall vigor without adding heavy root fertilizers. It encourages stronger tissues, healthier coloration and more robust trap formation over repeated use.

• Supplies trace minerals and natural plant growth regulators
• Absorbed through foliage—safer than high-NPK root fertilizers
• Promotes thicker traps, deeper color and improved texture
• Designed for species that prefer low-nutrient substrates

When and how should I apply Marina Mist to my sundews or flytraps?

Use Marina Mist as a light foliar spray during the plant’s active growing season or as directed on the label. Apply in the morning or early evening to avoid leaf burn, misting leaves and traps until they are evenly coated but not dripping.

• Apply every 7–14 days during active growth
• Spray in low light or cooler parts of the day
• Do not soak the soil—focus on foliage and traps
• Store upright and shake before use to mix natural solids

Will this spray harm my carnivorous plants or change potting soil needs?

Marina Mist is formulated to be gentle: because it’s applied to foliage, it avoids the salt and nutrient build-up that can damage carnivorous roots. It is not a replacement for proper substrate or watering practices, so continue using peat, sphagnum or other recommended mixes and pure water sources.

• Foliar application minimizes root nutrient loading
• Compatible with low-nutrient peat or sphagnum mixes
• Safe for repeated use when applied as directed
• Not a substitute for correct water quality or dormancy care

What specific results can I expect, and how quickly?

Visible improvements in trap tone, sheen and leaf texture often appear within several weeks of regular use, while overall plant vigor builds over months. Results vary by species, environment and baseline plant health but consistent application supports steady, healthy development.

• Noticeable color and texture improvements in weeks
• Stronger trap formation over a few growth cycles
• Best results with regular, fortnightly applications
• Works well alongside proper lighting and moisture routines

Who is this for: GARDENWISE Marina Mist is intended for hobbyists and collectors who grow carnivorous plants and want an organic, foliar feeding option that enhances trap development and plant appearance without risking root overload. It suits growers who maintain low-nutrient substrates and provide appropriate light, water and seasonal care, from beginners learning best practices to experienced cultivators seeking consistent, eco-friendly nutrition.
