Flyghost Bug Zapper Electric Mosquito & Fly Trap 20W UV, 4200V Grid, IPX4 Weather-Resistant

Flyghost Bug Zapper is a 20W electric mosquito and fly trap that uses a bright UV bulb and a 4200V killing grid to reduce flying insects across patios and indoor areas.

Designed for evenings on the porch or quiet nights inside, this Flyghost unit combines a powerful ultraviolet lamp, a high-voltage elimination grid and a removable collection tray for low-effort pest control. Weather-resistant housing and multiple placement options let you position the device where insects gather most, while safety grilles protect children and pets from contact.

How does the Flyghost zapper attract and eliminate insects?

The zapper uses a 20W UV lamp that emits light wavelengths attractive to mosquitoes, flies and gnats, drawing them toward the device. Once insects approach the lamp, a 4200V electric grid quickly neutralizes them and drops the remains into a detachable tray for disposal.

• 20W super-bright UV bulb engineered to lure common flying pests
• 4200V internal grid for rapid elimination on contact
• Removable collection tray captures debris for hygienic cleanup

Will this Flyghost model work outdoors in changing weather?

The unit is built to an IPX4 standard, meaning it tolerates splashing and light rain when mounted or set in sheltered outdoor areas. Durable materials and a secure hanging hook make it suitable for patios, porches and other semi-exposed outdoor living spaces.

• IPX4 waterproof rating protects electronics from rain splashes
• Sturdy hanging hook plus a 6.5 ft cord for flexible placement
• Designed for patios, decks and covered outdoor gathering spots

How easy is upkeep and are there child- and pet-safety features?

Maintenance is simple: slide out the collection tray and use the included brush to remove remains. The outer housing and protective grille prevent fingers and paws from reaching the grid, and the device operates quietly to avoid disturbing household members.

• Removable tray and cleaning brush for quick, mess-free maintenance
• Protective outer cage keeps children and pets safe from the grid
• Low-noise operation suitable for nighttime use

How large an area can one Flyghost zapper cover and where should I place it?

This Flyghost model provides effective attraction for areas up to roughly 2,100 square feet, making it a solid choice for medium to large patios, porches, and indoor living spaces. For best results, mount or place the unit 3–6 feet above ground level and position it away from competing light sources.

• Coverage up to about 2,100 sq ft for open and semi-enclosed zones
• Optimal mounting height: 3–6 feet to intercept flying insects
• Keep away from other bright lights to maximize insect attraction
