flangairy Welcome to Our Porch Sign 23.6" x 15.7" Black & White Rustic Wooden Plaque, Ready-to-Hang

Welcome to our porch sign by flangairy is a 23.6" x 15.7" wooden welcome plaque that adds rustic charm and a warm, humorous greeting to porches, patios, entries, or sunrooms.

This handcrafted-style wooden sign features a bold black background and white lettering that reads: "WELCOME TO THE PORCH WHERE WASTING TIME IS CONSIDERED TIME WELL SPENT." Built to hang easily and hold its shape, the sign is sized to be visible from walkways yet compact enough for cozy porches and sheltered outdoor spaces. The aesthetic mixes farmhouse warmth with lighthearted personality, making it an effortless update for both indoor and covered-outdoor entrances.

How will this sign look on my porch?

The sign’s matte black backdrop and clean white text create high contrast for an immediate visual impact. Its rectangular proportions (23.6" x 15.7") suit centered placement above benches, next to doors, or as part of a gallery wall on a covered porch.

• Dimensions: 23.6" (width) x 15.7" (height) x 0.8" (thickness).
• High-contrast white-on-black lettering for easy readability.
• Works well with farmhouse, coastal, and modern rustic palettes.
• Proportioned to balance with potted plants, lanterns, or seating.

Is this sign durable and easy to hang?

Yes—constructed from solid wood and designed to resist bending, the sign includes sturdy hooks on the back for straightforward wall mounting. It’s intended for covered outdoor areas or indoor use rather than exposed, unprotected outdoor locations.

• Solid wood construction resists warping under normal sheltered conditions.
• Pre-installed hooks on the rear for quick, level hanging.
• 0.8" thickness adds rigidity while remaining lightweight enough for standard hardware.
• Best suited for sunporches, screened porches, covered patios, and entryways.

Can I give this as a gift and who will appreciate it?

The sign makes a thoughtful, ready-to-hang present for new homeowners, hosts, or anyone updating their porch space. Its playful message and universal style suit a wide range of tastes, from casual entertainers to lovers of cozy outdoor living.

• Ideal as a housewarming, porch-warming, or holiday gift.
• Appeals to friends, family, coworkers, and new homeowners.
• A great pick for people who enjoy relaxed outdoor gatherings or hot tub decks.
• Arrives display-ready—no framing or additional mounting hardware required.

Where should I avoid placing this sign?

The flangairy porch sign is durable but not intended for constant exposure to the elements. Avoid mounting it where it will be directly rained on or left in full, unshaded sun for extended periods to preserve color and finish.

• Not recommended for fully exposed exterior walls without shelter or eaves.
• Avoid locations with direct, prolonged sunlight to reduce fading.
• Keep away from areas with heavy moisture or direct water contact.
• Perfect for covered porches, screened-in patios, and indoor entryways.
