Eastrans 2" x 50' Discharge Hose – Blue PVC with Aluminum Pin Lug Fittings, 90 PSI Working Pressure

EASTRANS 2" x 50' blue discharge hose is a heavy-duty, flat PVC hose with aluminum pin lug fittings built for pool and pump discharge tasks.

This flexible, reinforced hose is designed to move water from pumps, pool drains, and dewatering equipment efficiently while resisting oils, grease, acids, and many common chemicals. At 2 inches in diameter and 50 feet long, it balances capacity with manageability: long enough for most residential and light commercial jobs, yet flat-roll storage keeps it compact when not in use. The aluminum pin lug connectors make attachment simple and reduce corrosion compared to plain steel fittings.

How durable is the hose for repeated pump and pool use?

The EASTRANS discharge hose combines a flexible PVC jacket with a circularly woven high-tensile polyester yarn reinforcement to resist kinks, punctures, and tears during repeated use. The construction limits leaks under the hose's 90 PSI working pressure and performs across a wide temperature range.

• Material: flexible PVC outer layer for abrasion resistance and chemical tolerance
• Reinforcement: continuous polyester yarn braid to prevent stretching and tears
• Pressure rating: 90 PSI working pressure for common pump applications
• Temperature range: operates from 23°F to 149°F (-5°C to 65°C)

Will it connect easily to my pump and resist corrosion?

Yes — each hose comes fitted with aluminum pin lug fittings that slip over standard pump and adapter spigots for a secure connection. Aluminum resists oxidation better than untreated steel, helping keep fittings serviceable in wet environments.

• Fittings: aluminum pin lug type for quick attachment and removal
• Compatibility: fits common 2" pump outlets and a variety of adapters
• Maintenance: fewer corrosion issues compared with basic metal fittings
• Installation: slide-on connection then secure with clamps or cam locks as needed

How portable and easy to store is the 50' hose?

The flat design lets the hose be rolled or folded flat after draining, making it easy to carry and store in a garage, shed, or pool equipment box. Its lightweight PVC construction reduces bulk while remaining robust enough for repeated field use.

• Form factor: flat discharge hose rolls compactly for storage
• Weight: lightweight PVC helps portability for job sites and homeowners
• Storage tip: dry thoroughly and keep out of direct sunlight to prolong life
• Quick setup: pre-fitted connectors save time when connecting to pumps

What specific pool and pump tasks is this hose best for?

The EASTRANS hose is suitable for a broad set of liquid-handling duties around pools and small dewatering operations. It works well as a pool drain hose, sump pump discharge line, or trash pump outlet for non-abrasive solids and water removal tasks.

• Pool equipment: backwashing, draining, and temporary water transfer
• Sump and trash pumps: discharge line for water and light debris
• Maintenance jobs: garden ponds, water features, or construction dewatering
• Chemical tolerance: resists common pool-related chemicals and oils

Who is this for? The EASTRANS 2" x 50' blue discharge hose is aimed at pool owners, landscape contractors, and DIYers who need a reliable, easy-to-store discharge hose for regular water transfer and dewatering tasks. It’s appropriate for in-ground and above-ground pool equipment, sump and trash pumps, and general-purpose pump discharge needs when a flexible, chemical-resistant hose with corrosion-resistant fittings is required.
