D'vine Dev Self-Watering Blue Terracotta Planter 6 in, 2-Pack — Glass Reservoir, Handcrafted

These D'vine Dev self-watering blue terracotta planters pair handcrafted porous pots with clear glass reservoirs so small houseplants draw water as needed without messy spills.

Bring low-maintenance greenery to shelves, windowsills, or countertops with this two-pack of 6-inch terracotta planters and matching glass cups. The bottom quarter of each terracotta pot is left unglazed so moisture wicks from the clear reservoir into the clay walls, supplying consistent hydration to roots while keeping soil and tabletops tidy. Each set includes one blue-finished terracotta pot and one clear glass cup; plants are not included.

How does the self-watering system work?

The unglazed portion of the terracotta acts as a wick between the water in the glass cup and the soil inside the pot. Water is absorbed slowly through the porous clay, which helps prevent overwatering and reduces the frequency of manual watering. The glass reservoir makes it simple to see the water level and refill when needed.

• Unglazed bottom quarter of pot enables capillary action
• Clear glass cup shows water level for easy monitoring
• Slow, consistent moisture delivery reduces watering mistakes
• No drainage holes — keeps surfaces clean and dry

What plant types thrive in these 6-inch planters?

Compact, shallow-rooted plants adapt best to this size and self-watering style. Herbs, small succulents like aloe pups, baby spider plants, and many houseplant cuttings will perform well so long as their watering needs match the system’s steady moisture supply. Avoid very deep-rooted species that need larger soil volumes.

• Herbs: basil, parsley, chives
• Small succulents and aloe pups
• Baby spider plants and pothos cuttings
• Houseplant pups and propagation projects

How big is each planter and will sizes vary?

Each planter measures approximately 6.2 inches in height and 6.2 inches in outer diameter; the terracotta inner pot is about 5.9 inches tall. Because the pots are handcrafted, slight variations in shape, color, and size are normal and add to their artisanal character. The glass cup and terracotta pot are sized to pair securely without wobbling.

• Overall: 6.2" H x 6.2" outer diameter
• Terracotta pot: ~6.2" diameter × 5.9" height
• Handmade items may have modest size differences
• Two-pack provides matching pairs for balanced displays

How do I care for and refill the planter?

Check the glass reservoir visually and refill when the water level drops below the unglazed section of the terracotta. Periodically rinse the glass to prevent algae build-up and avoid standing water for prolonged periods in low-light conditions. If repotting, handle the clay gently to preserve the porous surface.

• Refill glass when water level falls below unglazed area
• Rinse glass reservoir occasionally to prevent residue
• Avoid overwatering; system supplies steady moisture
• Repot with care to protect handcrafted terracotta finish
