Danero Cordless Lawn Dethatcher & Scarifier – 36V (2× Makita 18V) 15" Width, Brushless Motor

The Danero Cordless Lawn Dethatcher and Scarifier is a 36V lawn care tool that runs on two Makita 18V batteries to remove thatch or scarify soil for healthier turf.

This cordless dethatcher/scarifier combines a 15-inch working width, a powerful brushless motor, and an adjustable cutting depth to tackle compacted thatch, moss, and surface debris without a cord. Designed to accept two Makita 18V batteries (sold separately), it balances portability with enough torque to spin up to 3,000 RPM. Lightweight and foldable, the unit is intended for homeowners who want a compact, battery-powered alternative to gas or corded models.

How does the dual-battery system work with Makita 18V cells?

The tool uses two 18V Makita batteries in series to achieve 36V performance; both batteries must be inserted for operation. This setup enables higher sustained power for the brushless motor while keeping the platform compatible with widely used 18V packs.

• Accepts two Makita 18V batteries (install both)
• Battery compartment fits up to 5.0Ah cells each
• Batteries and charger are not included

What cutting and airflow features make it effective on thatch?

The Danero uses a 650W brushless copper motor and Air Boost airflow design to lift and clear thatch while reducing strain on the drivetrain. The 15" width balances coverage with maneuverability for small-to-medium lawns.

• Brushless motor reaches up to 3,000 RPM for consistent blade speed
• Air Boost tech directs airflow to dislodge and eject material
• Two blade modes for dethatching or scarifying depending on lawn needs

Can I adjust how deep it cuts or scarifies?

Yes — a five-position depth adjustment lets you choose from shallow to deeper settings for seasonal tasks. Settings span fine surface scarifying to more aggressive dethatching, so you can tailor work to turf condition and soil type.

• Five depth positions between -0.47" and 0.23"
• Quick setup for spring revival or stronger summer aeration
• Tool access for blade change using the included screwdriver

What safety and comfort features are included for regular use?

The unit includes dual safety switches and a safety pin to help prevent accidental starts. An ergonomically designed handle with three height positions and a lightweight frame reduce fatigue during longer use.

• Dual safety switches plus safety pin for secure operation
• Three rod heights (37", 40", 44") for user comfort
• Weight around 23 lbs and foldable handle for easier storage
