Cryspool 05015 Spa Filter Cartridge 8" – 35 sq ft Trilobal Media, 1-1/2" MPT Bottom Thread

Cryspool 05015 is an 8" replacement spa filter with 35 sq. ft. of trilobal-fiber media and a 1-1/2" MPT bottom thread designed to match 5CH-35, PMAX50P4, PAS35P and similar models.

This Cryspool replacement cartridge is built to filter hot tub water efficiently, fit common spa housings, and withstand repeated cleanings. Constructed from advanced trilobal fiber media with reinforced end caps and pleats, it offers deeper particle capture than standard point-bond fabrics. The design balances thorough filtration with easy maintenance so you can keep circulation pathways clear and water cleaner, longer.

Will this Cryspool cartridge fit my spa model?

The 05015 is engineered to be compatible with the listed OEM part numbers and many equivalent spa housings. Confirm size and thread before ordering: the overall length is 8 inches and the bottom coupling uses a 1-1/2" male pipe thread (MPT). Compatibility is based on mechanical match rather than manufacturer branding.

• Length: 8" overall for most mid-size filter compartments
• Outer diameter: approximately 5-5/8" to fit common cartridges
• Bottom connection: 1-1/2" MPT male thread for direct replacement
• Works with 5CH-35, PMAX50P4, PAS35P, Maax Spas references and similar units

How well does the filter media trap debris and particulates?

Cryspool uses a trilobal fiber fabric engineered to improve filtration efficiency versus ordinary point-bond materials. The multilayer pleat structure allows contaminants to lodge deeper in the media while maintaining flow, which reduces surface blinding and preserves capture capacity between cleanings.

• Filtration area: 35 square feet for higher dust and lint capacity
• Trilobal fibers: increased surface interaction for finer capture
• Pleated construction: more media surface in a compact cartridge
• Reinforced end caps: help hold pleats and prevent bypass

What is the recommended cleaning and maintenance routine?

Regular cleaning keeps the cartridge working at peak performance and extends service life. Rinse with a hose to remove loose debris and periodically soak in an appropriate filter cleaner; this filter’s fabric structure responds well to deep cleaning, restoring much of its original performance.

• Rinse when visible debris accumulates or pressure rises
• Soak with spa filter cleaner every few months or sooner if needed
• Replace when pleats are permanently deformed or media shows wear
• Monitor the spa’s pressure gauge to time cleanings effectively

What installation and performance benefits should I expect?

Installation is straightforward where the size and thread match existing cartridges. Once fitted, users will notice consistent flow through the pump and reduced particulate re-circulation when the filter is maintained properly. The construction focuses on durability to limit premature failures.

• Direct-swap replacement when dimensions and thread match
• Improved capture reduces debris reaching your circulation pump
• Durable pleats and end caps for longer service life with care
• Simple maintenance returns near-new performance after cleaning

Who is this for: This Cryspool 05015 replacement cartridge is aimed at spa and hot tub owners seeking a reliable, serviceable filter for models that accept 8" × ~5-5/8" cartridges with a 1-1/2" MPT bottom thread. It suits DIY maintainers who clean filters regularly, operators of mid-size home spas who want improved particulate capture, and anyone needing a cost-effective aftermarket option for the listed OEM references.
