CMOOD turf tires 4.80/4.00-8 — 2-pack tubeless lawn & garden tires, 4-ply turf tread

CMOOD 2 PCS 4.80/4.00-8 tubeless turf tires are a durable, 4-ply rubber replacement set designed to deliver turf-friendly traction for tillers, garden tractors, golf carts and similar equipment.

These tires are sized to match common small-equipment rims and balance lawn protection with reliable grip on grass, soil and light inclines. Built from heavy, 4-ply nylon-reinforced rubber and featuring a shallow turf tread, they prioritize minimized turf damage while giving steady traction and puncture resistance for routine landscaping jobs.

What are the exact dimensions and load ratings of these tires?

Each tire follows the 4.80/4.00-8 sizing standard so you can confirm fit with your existing sidewall markings. They combine a compact outer diameter with a moderate section width and a 4-ply rating suitable for light equipment duty.

• Size: 4.80/4.00-8 (OD: 16" / 406 mm)
• Section width: 4.4" (111 mm) — rim width recommended 3" (76.2 mm)
• Tread depth: 0.44" (11.2 mm); Load capacity: 672 lbs (305 kg) per tire
• Max inflation: 40 PSI; Load range: 4PR/B

How does the tread and construction affect lawn performance?

The tread pattern is shallow and turf-oriented to reduce scuffing and avoid tearing up grass compared with deeper lug tires. A 4-ply nylon carcass strengthens puncture and abrasion resistance while keeping the tire flexible enough for smooth rolling on turf and packed soil.

• Turf-friendly tread minimizes ground damage
• 4-ply nylon construction for improved durability
• Balanced design for traction on inclines and soft ground

Will these tires fit my equipment and what should I check before buying?

These tires work with many small tractors, tillers, trenchers, golf carts and lawn mowers, including compatibility with common Troy-Bilt applications. Before ordering, compare the numbers on your current tire sidewall and measure your rim width and outer diameter to confirm a correct match.

• Compatible with a range of garden equipment and some Troy-Bilt models
• Verify existing tire sidewall numbers and rim width (3" recommended)
• Not intended for highway or high-speed use—designed for off-road equipment only

How do I maintain these tires for longer life?

Regularly check inflation to the recommended 40 PSI, inspect for cuts or embedded debris, and avoid prolonged driving on rough pavement which accelerates wear. Proper inflation and removing sharp objects quickly will help preserve the rubber and the nylon ply structure.

• Maintain recommended PSI; check pressure before heavy use
• Inspect for punctures and remove debris after work sessions
• Store equipment off sharp surfaces and avoid excessive pavement use

Who is this for: landscapers, homeowners and groundskeepers who use small tractors, tillers, trenchers or golf-cart-style equipment and want a turf-conscious replacement that balances traction, durability and load capacity. If you need a tubeless, 4-ply rated tire sized 4.80/4.00-8 for routine yard work and light hauling this two-piece set from CMOOD offers a practical, value-focused solution. Remember to measure your current tire markings and wheel rim before purchase and avoid highway speeds—these tires are optimized for off-road, lawn and garden applications.
