CIIC Bird Spikes 20-Pack, 18.7 ft Brown Acrylic Bird and Small Animal Deterrent, Weather-Resistant Roof & Fence Protection

CIIC Bird Spikes are a humane, low-maintenance strip of acrylic spikes designed to block birds and small animals from landing or nesting across 18.7 feet (5.7 m) of rooflines, fences, ledges and other flat surfaces.

These CIIC spikes come as 20 connected segments in brown acrylic, ready to be trimmed to fit a variety of surfaces. Built from weather-resistant plastic, the strips resist corrosion and bending so they can protect vulnerable perches season after season. The design includes closely spaced short and long prongs to eliminate gaps where pigeons, robins, squirrels or raccoons might try to perch or nest, while remaining non-lethal and visually unobtrusive.

How do these spikes keep birds and small animals from settling?

The alternating short-and-long prongs make any flat ledge unstable for perching, so birds and small mammals avoid the area. Rather than injuring animals, the spikes create an uncomfortable surface that discourages landing and nesting.

• 20 modular strips cover 18.7 feet out of the box.
• Paired short and long spikes close gaps that animals use to stand.
• Rounded acrylic tips minimize injury while being an effective physical deterrent.
• Brown finish blends with many rooflines and fences for low visual impact.

Can I fit CIIC spikes to curved or narrow surfaces?

Yes. Each strip can be trimmed to length so you can adapt it to narrow ledges, curved eaves, or pillar tops. The flexible plastic base allows slight bending for gentle curves, and multiple mounting options make installation possible on many substrates.

• Cut strips with scissors to accommodate corners and short sections.
• Base flexes for mild curves — avoid forcing into tight radii.
• Works on roof edges, window sills, railings, gutters and fence tops.

What methods work best to mount these spikes securely?

CIIC spikes can be attached with screws or nails for a permanent hold, or with heavy-duty double-sided tape and zip ties for temporary or non-invasive installations. Choose the method that suits your surface material and desired permanence; always follow local guidelines for fixing to public or rented property.

• Screw or nail through the base for long-term outdoor use.
• Strong double-sided exterior tape for delicate or temporary fixes.
• Zip ties secure to railings and open structures where screws are not possible.
• Trimmed sections maintain mounting holes to retain fastening options.

How durable are CIIC acrylic spikes in outdoor conditions?

Manufactured from weather-resistant acrylic plastic, these spikes are designed to retain shape and color without rusting. They tolerate sun, rain and typical temperature swings, making them a reliable choice for multi-season protection when installed correctly.

• Acrylic composition resists corrosion and deformation.
• Brown color reduces visual contrast against common building materials.
• Low-maintenance — occasional cleaning removes debris and droppings.
• Replace individual strips as needed rather than entire runs.

Who is this for? CIIC Bird Spikes are suited for homeowners, property managers, shopkeepers, and maintenance crews who need an affordable, humane solution to prevent birds and small mammals from landing or nesting on ledges, fences, roofs, signs and balconies. They are especially useful where a durable, adjustable, and low-visibility deterrent is preferred over nets, sticky gels or electronic devices.
