chicarry Tree Trunk Protectors 36" 4-Pack — Vinyl-Coated Heavy-Gauge Mesh Guards with Zip Ties & Stakes

chicarry 36" metal tree trunk protectors are heavy-gauge, vinyl-coated mesh guards that shield young trees from deer, rodents, mower damage and other common hazards.

These 4-pack tree guards combine durable iron wire with a protective vinyl finish and include zip ties, stakes and gloves so you can quickly wrap and secure each sapling. Each mesh sheet measures 13" wide by 36" long and bends into a cylindrical barrier that lets light and water through while keeping animals and equipment away from trunks and bark.

How do these protectors prevent deer and small-animal damage?

The open-weave metal mesh creates a physical barrier that prevents deer, rabbits, squirrels and rodents from chewing or rubbing the trunk. The 2mm thick wire is heavier than many garden guards, resisting bending and breakage from wildlife pressure.

• 2mm heavy iron wire resists deformation from animal contact
• 13" x 36" mesh size covers the most vulnerable trunk sections
• Vinyl coating reduces rust, allowing longer outdoor use

Can I customize height and diameter for different trees?

Yes — the mesh sheets are stackable and expandable: connect two or more pieces with the included zip ties to increase height or wrap multiple panels for wider trunks. This lets you adapt one kit to saplings, semi-mature trees, or grouped plantings.

• Stack panels vertically to reach beyond 36" when needed
• Overlap and secure with provided 60 zip ties for larger diameters
• Use included metal stakes to anchor in windy or sloped locations

How simple is installation and maintenance?

Installation is straightforward: bend a mesh sheet into a cylinder, wrap around the trunk, fasten with zip ties and drive stakes into the ground for stability. The vinyl-coated wire requires minimal upkeep; inspect periodically and replace zip ties if worn.

• Comes with 60 zip ties and 8 stakes for immediate setup
• One pair of gloves included for safe handling during assembly
• Low maintenance — occasional tightening and rust checks recommended

Will these guards interfere with tree growth or watering?

The open mesh allows sunlight, rain and air circulation so the trunk can breathe and receive moisture. For long-term use, monitor trunk growth and adjust or remove guards as trees thicken to avoid girdling.

• Mesh design permits light, water and airflow to the trunk
• Adjust or lift guards annually to prevent constriction during growth spurts
• Use multiple panels as protective braces without blocking irrigation

Who is this for: Homeowners, landscapers and tree-care volunteers who want a durable, reusable solution to protect young trees from wildlife and lawn equipment. These chicarry mesh guards are suited for newly planted saplings, urban street trees and small orchards where a robust, weather-resistant barrier is needed without blocking sunlight or water.
