CARPATHEN 1/2in Irrigation Tubing 50 ft Mainline – UV-Resistant, Flexible Poly for Quick-Connect Drip Systems

CARPATHEN 1/2" irrigation tubing is a flexible 50-foot, UV-resistant mainline designed to work with standard quick-connect drip fittings for easy, tool-free garden watering installation.

This 50-foot roll of 1/2" (0.5" ID / 0.65" OD) poly tubing provides a reliable supply line for backyard vegetable plots, raised beds, container gardens, greenhouse staging, or small orchards. Built to resist kinking and cracking, it can be run above or below ground and connects seamlessly to common 1/2" quick-connect fittings and 1/4" barbed branches. The result is a simple, adaptable backbone for DIY drip systems that helps route water exactly where plants need it.

How does this tubing fit into an existing quick-connect drip system?

The CARPATHEN 1/2" tubing serves as the primary supply line that attaches to quick-connect valves, filters, and pressure regulators. Its standard inner and outer diameters match most 1/2" fittings so you can assemble or expand systems without specialty adaptors.

• 0.5" inner diameter / 0.65" outer diameter for compatibility with typical quick-connect connectors
• Cut-to-length roll lets you run a continuous mainline or loop around beds
• Works with 1/4" barbed tees and emitters when used as the source line
• Tool-free joining using push-fit or barbed quick connectors

What makes this tubing durable for above-ground and underground use?

Manufactured from UV-resistant poly tubing, the line tolerates sun exposure and seasonal changes without becoming brittle. Its flexible construction reduces kinks along curves and allows the tubing to follow irregular layouts while maintaining flow.

• UV-resistant material for prolonged outdoor life
• Flexible enough to bend around corners and raised beds without kinking
• Suitable for shallow burial as a protected mainline
• Consistent wall thickness to withstand typical garden water pressures

How easy is it to install and modify the tubing for different garden layouts?

Installation is straightforward: unroll, cut to length, and join using standard quick-connect or barbed fittings. You can branch off with 1/4" lines to individual emitters or micro-sprayers, making system changes fast and inexpensive.

• Cut with garden shears or tubing cutters for a clean end
• Push-fit or barb connectors enable fast, tool-free assembly
• Compatible with 1/4" distribution tubing and standard emitters
• Reconfigurable—re-route or replace sections without replacing the entire system

How does this tubing help with water efficiency and maintenance?

Using a dedicated 1/2" mainline directs water precisely to drip branches, minimizing surface evaporation and runoff. The tubing’s robust material lowers the chance of leaks, and easy access above ground simplifies winterizing or repairs.

• Delivers water to emitters for targeted irrigation and reduced waste
• Durable seams and walls reduce leak risk compared with thin hoses
• Above-ground routing simplifies flushing, inspection, and winter shutoff
• Cut-and-reconnect capability makes repairs quick

Who is this for? Gardeners building or expanding a small-to-medium drip irrigation system will find this CARPATHEN 1/2" tubing useful. It suits DIY enthusiasts setting up vegetable beds, raised planters, balcony containers, or greenhouse irrigation who want a dependable mainline compatible with standard quick-connect fittings. If you need a flexible, long-lasting 50-foot supply line that integrates with 1/4" branches and common emitters, this tubing is a practical choice.
