Camco 20" Pigtail Propane Hose Connector ACME to 1/4" Male NPT — 20in, 200,000 BTU, Built-In Safety

The Camco 59843 20" Pigtail Propane Hose Connector is a 20-inch ACME-to-1/4" male NPT hose that links refillable 20lb or 30lb propane tanks to RV regulators, with built-in excess flow and thermal protection.

Whether you’re setting up an RV stove, furnace, or other high-demand propane appliance, the right hose ensures a safe, efficient connection. The Camco 59843 is designed specifically to mate an ACME tank fitting to a regulator inlet with a 1/4" NPT thread. It combines a flexible 20" hose length, a 200,000 BTU-per-hour capacity and factory-installed safety features, giving you a dependable link between the tank and your camper’s regulator.

How does the Camco pigtail hose handle high-demand appliances?

This pigtail is rated to pass up to 200,000 BTUs per hour, so it supports multiple simultaneous propane appliances common in RV use without restricting flow. The construction and fittings are sized to maintain steady pressure for cooktops, heaters and water heaters.

• 200,000 BTU/hr maximum capacity for heavy-duty appliance use
• 20-inch length balances flexibility and placement convenience
• ACME nut to 1/4" male NPT ensures correct regulator inlet fit

What safety features are included and why do they matter?

Camco integrated excess flow protection and thermal protection into this hose assembly to reduce the risk of uncontrolled gas flow and to respond to extreme temperature conditions. These passive safety elements add protection beyond the regulator and tank valve by limiting flow if a sudden large leak occurs or if temperatures become unsafe.

• Excess flow device helps stop large leaks from uncontrolled flow
• Thermal protection reduces risk under extreme heat exposure
• Durable fittings reduce the chance of connection failures

Will this connector fit my RV regulator and propane tank?

The hose is made to connect standard 20lb or 30lb refillable propane tanks with ACME tank nuts to a regulator inlet that accepts a 1/4" male NPT. Check your regulator inlet thread and tank valve style to confirm compatibility before purchase.

• ACME nut fits standard refillable camper tanks
• 1/4" male NPT threaded end matches common RV regulator inlets
• Ideal for trailers, motorhomes and many camper regulator setups

How durable and flexible is the hose for everyday RV use?

The 20-inch pigtail balances flexibility for routing in tight compartments with a rugged exterior to resist wear. Its fittings are constructed for repeated connection cycles and the hose material withstands typical outdoor and travel conditions when used according to propane safety guidelines.

• Flexible 20" length for compact storage and neat routing
• Robust fittings designed for repeated use and secure seals
• Meant for standard RV/camper environments, not for underground or permanent buried installation

Who is this for: The Camco 59843 pigtail hose is aimed at RV owners, weekend campers and mobile technicians who need a reliable, high-capacity connection between refillable 20lb or 30lb propane tanks and regulators with a 1/4" NPT inlet. If you require a compact, safety-equipped hose that supports multiple appliances and frequent hookups, this assembly is a practical accessory to keep in your RV toolbox. Always inspect hoses and fittings before use and follow local regulations and manufacturer guidance when installing propane components.
