Bird-X Stainless Steel Bird Spikes 10-Foot Pack, 4.5-inch Points, Flexible Polycarbonate Base

Bird-X stainless steel bird spikes create a humane, long-lasting barrier that prevents pigeons, sparrows, starlings and other nuisance birds from landing or nesting on ledges and surfaces.

If you’re tired of droppings, nests, and flocks settling on window sills, rooflines, signs or beams, these stainless steel spikes provide a physical deterrent that encourages birds to move on without injury. Each pack includes ten one-foot segments that combine flexibility with durable materials to cover up to 10 linear feet and adapt to both straight and slightly curved surfaces.

How do these spikes stop birds from landing?

The spikes create an uneven, uncomfortable surface that removes the stable perch birds need to rest or build nests. Rather than harming birds, the installation simply makes the spot unattractive so they relocate naturally.

• Ten one-foot strips for up to 10 linear feet of coverage.
• 4.5-inch spike length gives about 5 inches of effective depth.
• Sharp but blunt-tipped stainless steel points discourage perching without injury.
• Flexible polycarbonate base conforms to ledges, signs, and curved edges.

Where can I safely install Bird-X stainless spikes?

These spikes are suitable for most exterior surfaces where birds perch or nest, including residential and commercial sites. Use them on ledges, rooftops, signs, fences, beams, and other problem areas to reduce roosting and nesting activity.

• Windowsills, rooflines, gutters, and signage edges.
• Barns, garages, porches, playground equipment, and fences.
• Flat or slightly curved surfaces thanks to the flexible base.
• Outdoor use only—keep spikes away from areas where people may brush against them.

What materials and longevity can I expect?

Constructed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel mounted on a sturdy polycarbonate rail, these spikes resist rust and UV exposure for prolonged outdoor performance. Properly installed, a single application can provide years of effective deterrence with minimal maintenance.

• Stainless steel points for durability against weather and rust.
• Polycarbonate base resists cracking and flexes to fit contours.
• Low-maintenance—occasional debris clearing recommended.
• Designed to withstand rain, sun, and seasonal changes.

How do I install the Bird-X spikes and what tools are needed?

Installation is straightforward: attach strips with exterior adhesive, screws, nails, or cable ties depending on the surface. The flexible base makes alignment easy; measure the ledge, trim strips as needed, then secure them so the spikes form a continuous barrier.

• Attach with bird spike adhesive for a clean finish on stone or metal ledges.
• Use screws or nails on wood and structural surfaces for a secure hold.
• Cable ties work well for signs, poles, and thin edges.
• Trim one-foot segments with tin snips or heavy shears for custom lengths.
