Beserie 14-inch Hummingbird Feeder Dome Shade — Red Floral Canopy with Water Moat, Weatherproof Protection

Beserie's 14-inch hummingbird feeder dome is a bright, weatherproof shade and moat-equipped baffle that shields nectar from rain and sun while deterring squirrels and welcoming hummingbirds.

Keep your outdoor hummingbird feeder fresh and protected with a large, flower-shaped shield that combines practical weather protection with eye-catching color. This cover fits most hanging feeders, offers a built-in moat to frustrate climbing pests, and uses reinforced hardware designed to resist corrosion from standing water. It’s a simple add-on that improves feeder longevity and makes your garden more attractive to hummingbirds.

How does the dome protect nectar and the feeder?

The wide 14-inch canopy blocks direct rain, snow, and harsh sunlight, reducing spoilage and helping nectar stay cooler longer. By keeping water off ports and seed cups, it minimizes dilution and potential fermentation so birds find fresher food.

• 14-inch diameter covers most hanging feeders
• Shields feeder from rain and sun exposure
• Prevents water from diluting nectar
• Offers a perch-like resting area for hummingbirds

In what ways does this dome discourage squirrels and other pests?

The integrated yellow water moat creates a slippery barrier that makes it harder for squirrels to reach the feeder from above. Combined with the overhanging canopy design, it interrupts common climbing routes and forces pests to expend more effort, often deterring them altogether.

• Built-in moat around the hanger to block access
• Overhang design complicates climbing paths for squirrels
• Bright colors attract hummingbirds, not pests
• Stainless-steel hooks resist bending under stress

What materials and durability features should I expect?

This model uses upgraded plastic molded into a floral dome with reinforced stress points and thickened articulation ports to reduce breakage. Stainless-steel hooks and improved moat supports help resist rust and handle outdoor conditions more reliably than basic designs.

• Durable plastic dome with smooth finish
• Three stainless-steel hanging hooks included
• Thickened threaded ports for added strength
• Moat reinforcement to improve wind and weight resistance

How do I install and care for this feeder shade?

Installation is quick: hang the dome above your feeder using the included hooks and fill the moat with water to start deterring pests. For cleaning, a simple rinse with water and air-dry is recommended rather than abrasive scrubbing to preserve the smooth plastic finish.

• Easy hang-on installation with three attachment hooks
• Fill moat with water to activate pest barrier
• Rinse clean and air dry; avoid manual abrasive cleaning
• Compatible with most standard hanging hummingbird feeders

It’s ideal for backyard birdwatchers who need a large, colorful shelter that attracts hummingbirds while reducing feeder maintenance, and for anyone seeking an affordable upgrade that extends feeder life without complex installation or tools.
