Audubon Park Songbird Wild Bird Seed is a 14 lb mixed-seed formula designed to attract a wide variety of colorful backyard songbirds to feeders year‑round.

Bring more song and color to your yard with a seed blend that balances energy, variety and broad appeal. This 14-pound bag combines high-energy sunflower, safflower, peanuts and assorted grains to tempt cardinals, chickadees, titmice, finches and other frequent feeder visitors. The mixture is suited to many feeder styles and is intended to support regular backyard watching without specialty handling.

Which birds will this mix attract to my yard?

This blend targets common backyard songbirds that prefer seeds and nuts. Bright, high-fat ingredients lure cardinals and grosbeaks, while smaller seeds attract finches and chickadees. Expect visits from both ground-feeding and perch-feeding species when placed in appropriate feeders.

• Cardinals, chickadees and titmice—drawn to sunflower and safflower
• Finches and buntings—enticed by smaller seeds and millet
• Nuthatches and nut-loving species—attracted by peanuts and larger kernels
• Greater variety when offering tube, hopper or platform feeders

How should I use this seed to get consistent backyard activity?

Place the seed in feeders suited to the component sizes: sunflower and peanuts work well on tray and hopper feeders, while smaller seeds are ideal for tube feeders and finches. Keep feeders filled on a regular schedule and position them near shrubs or trees to give birds safe perching and quick cover.

• Use a mix of feeder types to welcome more species
• Refill frequently to establish a reliable food source
• Keep feeders clean and dry for best acceptance
• Offer water and nearby cover to increase visit duration

What nutritional benefits are included for wild songbirds?

The seed mix combines high-energy black oil sunflower and protein-rich peanuts with millet and cracked corn to supply fats, proteins and carbohydrates. These components support active metabolisms, feather maintenance and seasonal energy needs without relying on single-ingredient feeds.

• High-energy sunflower seeds for sustained calories
• Peanuts add protein and healthy fats
• Millet and cracked corn provide carbohydrate variety
• Safflower reduces spoilage and attracts certain species
