ASPECTEK Yard Sentinel Ultrasonic Animal Repeller — Black, Motion-Activated with Strobe & 3 Modes (AC or Battery)

The ASPECTEK Yard Sentinel is a motion-activated, dual-power animal repeller that combines adjustable ultrasonic waves, an optional audible predator alarm, and a bright LED strobe to discourage deer, raccoons, squirrels, birds and other pests from your outdoor spaces.

Designed for yards, gardens, patios and small farms, this compact unit uses a multi-sensory strategy to create an unpleasant environment for wildlife without traps or poisons. A programmable frequency dial, three operating modes and a PIR motion sensor give you precise control over when and how the device responds, while IPX4-rated housing helps it stand up to rain and splashes. You can run it continuously on AC power with the included 10 m cord or place it remotely using four C-cell batteries for temporary or seasonal protection.

How does the Yard Sentinel detect and react to animals?

The unit uses a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor with a wide detection arc that triggers ultrasonic pulses and/or the LED strobe when movement is detected. You can choose Day, Night or 24-Hour modes so the device only activates when you want it to, preserving battery life and limiting disturbance.

• PIR sensor coverage up to about 5500 sq ft depending on placement
• Three modes: Day, Night, 24-Hour for tailored activation
• Strobe light and ultrasonic/sonic outputs triggered by motion
• Volume dial lets you switch between silent ultrasonic or audible predator sounds

Which animals and situations can I expect it to deter?

The adjustable frequency range and marked settings allow targeting of a range of mammals and birds—larger targets like deer and bears are handled differently than small pests such as squirrels or birds. It’s best used as a perimeter deterrent on lawns, around garden beds, compost bins, orchards and patios rather than inside enclosed buildings.

• Frequency dial marked for different species groups (deer, raccoon, bird, etc.)
• Effective for common garden pests: deer, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, rabbits, birds
• Wide-angle sound projection plus bright strobe for nocturnal and daytime use
• Not a physical barrier—combine with fencing for high-traffic intrusion points

How do I power and mount the device for best results?

The Yard Sentinel offers flexible installation: use the included 10 m AC extension cord for permanent setups, or install four C-cell batteries when mains power isn’t available. Built-in hanging notches and a weather-resistant angled housing make wall, fence or tree mounting straightforward and durable.

• Dual-power: AC with included 10 m cord or 4 C-cell batteries (not included)
• Integrated hanging notches for quick attachment to fences, eaves, trees or poles
• Angled housing design sheds water; IPX4 splash resistance for outdoor use
• Place at animal eye-line or along perimeter for maximum sensor coverage

What controls and adjustments are available on the repeller?

Everything you need to fine-tune behavior is accessible on the unit: a frequency adjustment dial with species markings, a volume control to toggle audible predator sounds, and a mode selector for day/night/24-hour operation. These controls let you reduce false triggers, save battery life, and adapt responses to your local pest mix.

• Precision frequency dial for species targeting and intensity adjustments
• Volume dial to enable silent ultrasound or audible predator alarm
• Mode selector for Day, Night, or continuous 24-Hour operation
• Weather-sealed back cover to protect internal controls from moisture

Who is this for? The ASPECTEK Yard Sentinel is intended for homeowners, gardeners and small-property owners who want a non-lethal, low-maintenance way to discourage common outdoor pests without traps or chemicals. It’s especially useful when you need flexible installation options—permanent AC power or temporary battery placement—and want to combine visual and sonic deterrents to protect lawns, beds, compost areas, fruit trees and outdoor living spaces.
