Aquascape Fabric Aquatic Plant Pots 12" x 8" (2-Pack) — Flexible Porous Planters for Ponds, Reduces Silt and Improves Water Flow

Designed specifically for water-feature gardening, the Aquascape 98500 fabric plant pots combine a fine-porous construction with a bendable, durable material so you can tuck aquatic and marginal plants into tight or irregular spaces without cracking, silt contamination, or visible plastic edges. Each planter measures 12 inches across and 8 inches deep, and the set of two offers immediate planting capacity for larger ponds, bogs, or paired displays in a backyard water garden.

How do these fabric planters protect water clarity?

The planters' porous walls allow pond water to circulate through the root zone while holding soil and growing media securely inside. This prevents loose dirt from washing into your pond and reduces clouding from suspended particles.

• Fine-porous material blocks soil particles but permits water exchange
• Root zone remains submerged for healthier aquatic growth
• Helps reduce maintenance and skimming for debris

Will the flexible material stand up to outdoor conditions?

Unlike rigid plastic that can crack or shatter under pressure, these fabric planters are formulated to remain pliable and resilient in outdoor pond environments. Their flexibility makes them easy to position among rocks, shelves, and uneven ledges without breaking.

• Durable, bendable construction resists cracking
• Conforms to irregular pond contours for discreet placement
• Color and low-profile shape minimize visual impact in the water

What sizes and planting options work best for these pots?

At 12 inches wide and 8 inches deep, each planter accommodates many common marginal and submerged species, from iris and pickerel weed to smaller lotus varieties and host plants for bog shelves. Use one or both together to create layered plantings or balanced groupings.

• 12" diameter x 8" deep holds medium to large aquatic plants
• Works well for marginal, bog, and shallow water plants
• Pairing two planters lets you create mixed-species displays

How easy is installation and ongoing care?

These planters are simple to fill, position, and maintain. Fill with aquatic soil or gravel, set in place in your pond or on a shelf, and trim or repot as your plants grow. Their material reduces the need for frequent cleaning compared with open soil placements.

• Fill with aquatic planting mix or pea gravel for stability
• Place on pond shelves, shallow areas, or sunken ledges
• Minimal disturbance when repotting or rearranging plants

It's ideal for hobbyists building or upgrading backyard water features, landscapers creating maintenance-friendly plantings, and anyone who wants durable, flexible planters that keep soil in place and water clear.
