ADIOS! Spa Hardness Decreaser & Softener 16oz - Scale Remover, Clarifies Cloudy Hot Tub Water

ADIOS! Spa Hardness Decreaser and Softener is a concentrated 16oz formula that dissolves mineral build-up, clarifies cloudy hot tub water, and helps prevent stains and scale on surfaces and equipment.

Hard water minerals like calcium and magnesium create cloudy water, gritty feel and crusty scale on valves, heaters and shell surfaces. ADIOS! combines targeted chelating and clarifying agents in a compact 16oz bottle to break down those minerals, protect finishes, and make filters capture the residue for easier removal. The product is designed for regular maintenance dosing and professional-grade performance in residential and commercial spas.

How quickly will it clear cloudy, hard hot tub water?

Most users see visible improvement within hours and a fully clarified appearance after the filter has run for a few cycles. The formula works by dispersing and binding mineral particles so filters can remove them instead of letting them redeposit on surfaces.

• Treats cloudy water rapidly—visible clearing in hours.
• 2 oz treats approximately 800 gallons for weekly maintenance.
• Compatible with standard cartridge filters to capture dissolved minerals.

Will this actually remove scale from surfaces and equipment?

Yes — ADIOS! gradually loosens calcium and other mineral deposits so they stop building thicker layers and become easier to remove during cleaning. It’s intended as a preventive and corrective maintenance step rather than a single-use heavy-duty acid treatment.

• Breaks down mineral bonds that cause scale buildup.
• Helps protect heaters, jets and fittings from performance loss.
• Reduces need for abrasive scrubbing when used regularly.

How does it protect against stains like iron or copper discoloration?

ADIOS! contains stain-inhibiting components that lock up metals and stop them from depositing as colored stains on the shell or plumbing. Using the product on a routine schedule prevents red iron, green copper and white lime stains before they become permanent.

• Inhibits metal staining by sequestering iron and copper.
• Prevents white lime deposits through mineral control.
• Ideal for spas fed by well or hard municipal water sources.

How long does one 16oz bottle last for a typical hot tub?

At the recommended maintenance dose, a 16oz bottle covers several weeks of treatment for a standard-sized residential spa. Routine weekly dosing keeps mineral levels managed and minimizes recurring scale and stains.

• 2 oz treats ~800 gallons for one week of maintenance.
• 16 oz provides nearly two months of weekly protection for a typical hot tub.
• Concentrated formula reduces frequency and shipping waste.

Who is this for? ADIOS! Spa Hardness Decreaser and Softener is aimed at homeowners and small commercial operators who want a simple, professional-strength solution to hard water problems. If your spa water gets cloudy, your surfaces collect whitish or rusty deposits, or you’re troubleshooting heater and flow issues caused by mineral accumulation, this product fits routine maintenance schedules and lowers long-term cleaning and repair needs.
